We truly believe in giving back to
the community. Our staff participates in many worthwhile
organizations and efforts.
The staff of the Lake County Tax Collector's Office
continues to surpass their goal for WalkAmerica, raising
more money per capita than any other Lake County Team.
Day of Caring, sponsored by the United Way, has for
several years, afforded us the privilege of joining
other community minded citizens in making a difference
at Cornerstone Hospice located on Lane Park Road in
Tavares. We take great pride in doing yard work, painting,
cleaning, whatever needs to be done to assist this worthwhile
organization.

MONTH
PRIOR TO BIRTH MONTH-BIRTHDAY
Decals for most motor vehicles/vessels registered
in an individual’s name must be renewed by midnight
of the owner’s birthday.
- Payment of 2008 Local Business Tax accepted
- Tuesday, August 26th, Primary Election
- 2nd installment payment of 2008 taxes for taxpayers
participating in the 2008 Alternative Payment Method
- Local Business Tax can be renewed
- All Tax Collector Office locations will be closed
Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day
- Thursday, September 11th, Patriot Day
- Monday, September 22nd, Autumn begins
